The challenge

A large enterprise data estate needed to move from a legacy data lake to HPE Data Fabric Software while preserving the behaviour, schedules, dependencies, and outputs of hundreds of production workloads.

The scale made manual conversion and informal validation unsuitable. The programme needed workload inventory, target architecture, migration waves, repeatable reconciliation, and a production-readiness path.

Migration governance at scale

Hundreds of workloads need an explicit inventory, dependency map, conversion pattern, owner, and acceptance path. The programme cannot be managed as a collection of isolated code changes.

Source-to-target comparisons, business-rule checks, and visible discrepancies are required when manual review cannot cover the volume or complexity of the estate.

Go-live is an operating decision
